Are you developing a new machine with the intention of selling or using it in the European Economic Area (EEA)? In this case, the machine has to have a CE-mark. But before you can apply this mark, you have to do a risk assessment. It must be possible to use, adjust and maintain machines without hazards under the conditions described by the manufacturer.

Based on the new Machinery Directive (2006/42/EG) a risk assessment must now also be carried out for an “unfinished machine”.
